Millwright's, the esteemed restaurant in Simsbury, CT led by Chef Tyler Anderson and serving "New England inspired cuisine" is celebrating its fourth anniversary this year. There will be two nights of special events to commemorate the occasion and highlight Millwright's past, and the future of Connecticut cooking.
On July 26, chefs of Millwright's past and present will reunite for one special evening. Guests will be able to sample passed hors d'oeuvres and sit down for one course from each chef in attendance. Chefs include Luke Venner and Phil Brushchuk of Elm Restaurant in New Canaan, Chris Wilcox of The Velveteen Habit in Ogunquit, Matt Robinson of FT33 in Dallas, Adam Boyd of Bistro Barberet in Lancaster, Kristin Eddy of Millwrights and of course, Tyler Anderson of Millwright's.
The following night, July 27, will showcase the "young guns" of Connecticut. "I know it sounds corny, but these are guys that I truly believe are the next generation of Connecticut cooking," said Anderson. In the same style, this will also be a multi course dinner and reception with beverage pairing. Chefs on this night include Matt Wick of River Tavern, Craig Hutchinson and Alex Lishchynsky of Oink Pop-Up, Anthony Kostelis of The Whelk, Marcell Davidsen of Community Table, and Niles Talbot and Jesse Powers of Millwright's.
Each dinner begins at 6pm and tickets are $125 and include food, drinks, tax and gratuity. You can purchase tickets to the July 26 dinner here, and the July 27 dinner here. Millwright's is located at 77 West St. in Simsbury, CT and can be reached at (860) 651-5500.
