Patiently awaiting the opening of Osa? We are too. Back in January we gave you a chance to sample their cuisine at our first CT Eats Out Supper Club. And now, just weeks before they open we're giving you another chance! Chefs Matt and Denny will be cooking up two very special and delicious toasts as our sponsored vendor at this month's KNOW GOOD Market in Hartford!
On the menu:
-Walden Hill pig head toast with Mystic Twain cheese on house made sourdough with herbs from Wellstone Farm (pictured above)
-Wild Rooster Farm cherry tomato toast with Arethusa Farm Diva cheese on house made sourdough with herbs from Sub Edge Farm
-Some fun pickled things, TBD
If you're not familiar with Osa (where have you been???) here's what you need to know: It's the brain child of restaurateurs Kevin Wirtes and Rich Garcia of Krust, and Chef Matt Wick, formerly of River Tavern. Osa is opening on Main Street in Middletown (soon! we're serious this time) and will feature wood-fired small plates, cocktails, whiskey, wine and local beer.
So how do you taste this exciting restaurant preview? By coming to the KNOW GOOD Market on Thursday, August 10, 2017 from 5-8pm.
Who else will be there? The Cafe at Fifty-Five will be open serving coffee and crepes, Samba's Cuisine Food Truck offering Brazilian flavors, Mercado with their Span-ish tapas, YBird & Co. Food Truck serving fried chicken and farm fresh deliciousness, Heirloom Market at Comstock Ferre with healthy juices and baked goods, The Butcher & Red bringing the meat, The Dream Hero and their ice cream sandwiches, Dee's Flavors cooking up all your guilty pleasures, Taco Tequila Food Truck making authentic Mexican tacos, Taste by Spellbound will be bringing her beautiful desserts and Quick Bites serving West Indian cuisine. And then of course, Hog River Brewing will be open and serving their Hartford made beer including the KNOW GOOD Pale Ale.
The KNOW GOOD Market is an open air street festival held from 5-8pm on the second Thursday of each month from April-November in the Parkville neighborhood of Hartford. It features local music, food and vendors and attracts a large crowd of locals and visitors alike. It is located at 30-50 Bartholomew Ave. Hartford, CT. There is a parking lot located across the street, bike parking and is just one block from the CT Fastrak Parkville stop.
