Have you ascended to ON20?  That’s a literal question - it’s twenty stories up, located in the iconic Hartford Steam Boiler building.  The sweeping, panoramic views are complimented by a modern French menu curated by Chef Jeffrey Lizotte, and a modern-yet-classic cocktail list to match.

The “Frontier Francaise” is on the happy hour menu and priced to please at $7 from 4 to 7pm, Wednesday through Friday.  The ingredients are simple: Builliet Bourbon, peaches, and tabasco sauce.  Builliet is a good choice to balance the sweet and thick peach syrup of this simple, yet effective cocktail, as its rye characteristics make it less sweet than your average bourbon.  The spice of the tabasco winds through the peachy and bourbon flavors like a ribbon but be warned - it will hit you right at the end of the drink if you’re not careful, as it’s heavier than the liquor and syrup, and will descend to the bottom of your glass.  We therefore recommend ordering this cocktail with the Salt and Pepper Dumplings (also on the happy hour menu for $6) to balance out the spice with some starch.  But who are we kidding - we would recommend those dumplings regardless of your drink order.  They’re delicious.
