Election Day Specials in Connecticut

It’s hereeeeee! Happy Election Day! As if Election Day wasn’t exciting enough, restaurants, bars, breweries and cafes across Connecticut are giving voters special treats for exercising their right to vote. So check out the list below and then VOTE AND EAT!

This list will be updated throughout the day on November 6th as more businesses announce their plans.

GET TO THE POLLS:

Get $10 off your Uber ride TO the polls on Election Day. Launch the Uber app, tap Menu > Payment > Add Promo Code and enter the promo code VOTE2018 to get $10 off your ride TO the polls. This will allow you to request your ride using their special in-app polling place locater. For the deal to be valid you must select the most affordable tier option available.

You can get a free ride on a Lime bike to and from the polls (up to 30 minutes) when you enter code LIME2VOTE18 in the app.

Lyft is giving out promo codes for 50% off your ride TO the polls on Election Day. To get your code, you'll need to visit this page, and then plug it into your app by tapping the Promos tab. The code applies to a standard ride up to $5. For underserved communities, Lyft will provide rides free of cost through nonpartisan, nonprofit partners, including Voto Latino, local Urban League affiliates, the National Federation of the Blind, Faith in Action, League of Women Voters, and the Student Vets of America.

Sift Bake Shop in Mystic is giving away complimentary mini chocolate chip cookies to anyone who comes in with an “I Voted” sticker on Election Day.

Rebel Dog Coffee in Plainville is giving anyone with an “I Voted” sticker 5% off their order.

Anyone who wears an “I Voted” sticker into Carbone’s Kitchen in Bloomfield will get a free appetizer with the purchase of two entrees.

Firebox Restaurant in Hartford is offering 10% off your bar tab or food bill all day long if you show your “I Voted” sticker.”

Scratch Baking in Milford is giving away a free small drip coffee or hot tea when you show them your “I Voted” sticker.

Get 10% off your bill at Hartford’s Banh Meee if you come in wearing your “I Voted” Sticker.

Wear your “I Voted” sticker into The Wise Old Dog in West Hartford and get a 15% discount on boutique bottleshop wine.

Go into any one of Chef Tyler Anderson’s restaurants (The Cook and The Bear in West Hartford, Millwright’s in Simsbury, or Porron and Pina in Hartford) during happy hour with an “I Voted” sticker and get a free drink. Just tell the bartender to “put it on Tyler’s tab”.

Get Baked in Windsor is closed on Election Day, BUT, if you show up on Wednesday (11/7) with your “I Voted” sticker you can snag a free cookie. ANDDD if you are voting in your first ever election this year, let them know and they will “have something extra special for you” (again, someone please go here and then update me).

Stony Creek Brewery in Branford is giving anyone who comes in with an “I Voted” sticker, $1 off their first beer.

The Cook and The Bear in West Hartford is giving away a free taco to anyone with an “I Voted” sticker. (There is also a Kent Falls Brewing tap takeover, so truly, you should go).

Show off your “I Voted” sticker at Ashlawn Farm Coffee in Old Saybrook and get a free drip coffee.

The Coq and Co. in Stonington is offering a free coffee to anyone with an “I Voted” sticker.

Anyone who wears an “I Voted” sticker into Carbone’s Ristorante in Hartford will get a free appetizer with the purchase of two entrees.

DuVig Brewery in Branford is offering 33% off all online gift certificates of $50 or more with coupon code IVOTED.

Get a free coffee at Bart’s Drive-In and The Beanery Bistro in Windsor if you come in with your “I Voted” sticker.

Black Bamboo Chinese in West Hartford is giving away a free eggroll to anyone with an “I Voted” sticker.

Chabaso will be giving away free loaves of bread to anyone with an “I Voted” sticker between 9am-12pm at their sister business, Atticus Bookstore Cafe in New Haven.

The Half Door in Hartford is offering 10% off your bill to anyone with an “I Voted” sticker.

Pure Love Bakery in Avon is giving voters a free iced sugar cookie if you come in with your “I Voted” sticker on.
