Hog River Brewing Opens In Hartford

Hog River Brewing Co. is opening its doors on August 20, 2016. Owner Ben Braddock left his insurance job eight years ago to pursue his love of home brewing and has spent the past few years learning the trade, most recently at Willimantic Brewing Co. Located in the Parkville neighborhood of Hartford, Hog River is named after the river that runs under the city.
Hog River will be celebrating its opening from 12-8pm on August 20th and 12-6pm on August 21st with five beers on tap available for tastings, 16 oz pours or growler fills, including From The Ashes IPA, River Run Rye Red IPA, Gentle Giant Summer Blonde Ale, 8th Ward Brown Ale, and Behind The Rocks Smoked Red Ale. There will also be local hard ciders from New England Cider Company, and Yardbird and Co., The Whey Station and NoRa Cupcake Co. will be parked outside selling food on Saturday and Bear's Smokehouse will be in attendance on Sunday.
