Hartford’s Annual Rib Off Contest, now in its 7th year, grows every year. In 2016 we feature two stages for live musical acts, all you can eat BBQ, and beer from Broadbrook Brewery, for the price of one admission. 100% of this year’s proceeds go to benefit www.HEROESINTRANSITION.org.

12 BBQ teams will be competing and smoking brisket, ribs and chicken thighs for the masses. 

Five live bands and two DJ's will be keeping you entertained on twostages throughout the day (The Scattered, Knucklehead, Wolfe Tone, Professors of Sweet Sweet Music, 5 Car Pileup, DJ June Bug and DJ Steve Harris).

In addition to Ribs, Brisket, and Chicken we will be serving hamburgers and hot dogs all day along with pulled pork sandwiches from the good people and Taino Smoke House. We will also have some shaved steak BBQ sandwiches.

The good folks over at Broad Brook Brewery will be allowing anyone who is over the age of 21 to try an assortment of their delicious beers.

Kids under the age of 12 eat free. We will have a face painter there and there is a large lawn so feel free to bring some of their favorite outdoor toys to play with. An ice cream truck will come later in the afternoon, but that cost will be an additional cost not included in the price of admission.

Doors open at 1 and the party closes at 6. Parking is free but be prepared to walk a bit and please be patient. Remember everyone that is working the event is volunteering their time and this whole event is a fundraiser.
