We serve seasonal café food inside of a bookstore. It is a unique place for our customers to experience a new way of looking at food and literature. Prep and Line cooks are the final touches on the daily eating experience that our customers visit us for. We work in an open kitchen in full view of customers and staff. Preps and Line cooks are responsible for executing mise en place and final assembly in a Clean, Safe, High Quality manner that meets Atticus’s and our customer’s needs. We are all welcoming team members, enthusiastic problem solvers and bring a passion and curiosity for food to their daily work.
The Kitchen Director oversees the kitchen operations of Atticus Café. To maintain the highest level of quality of food and sanitation by teaching, training and motivating kitchen staff. The Kitchen Director is expected to perform the jobs of daily food preparation and new recipe development, maintain par levels, quality control, sanitation of the Atticus Cafe, and coordination of vendor relationships and daily orders.
The Café Manager is the bedrock of our culture in the Café. You are responsible for the full experience of guests and Café team members. You are passionate about people and creating a space where lifelong friendships are made. achieve this through performing a variety of duties to manage all operations and activities of the Cafe including maintaining revenue, profitability and quality goals. Ensure efficient Cafe operation, as well as maintain high production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards. Responsible for the selection, hiring, training and discipline of Cafe staff.
