Melody Pere opened RISE in the summer of 2016 in the heart of downtown Mystic. She first began working in kitchens at the age of twenty, and soon had worked her way up to pastry chef at Oyster Club, also in Mystic, before venturing out to open her own breakfast and lunch spot. RISE is known for using local ingredients in their dishes, including their famous buttermilk pancakes, using Farm to Hearth milled grains.
