Wright's Steakhouse Opens In Centerbrook

Wright's Steakhouse opened last night in Centerbrook, CT. Brought to you by the folks behind River Tavern, Otto Pizza, and Dinner's At The Farm, this is owner Jonathan Rapp's fourth endeavor on the Connecticut shoreline. 

He says, "I grew up in Essex and one of the most frequent laments was that there were so few good restaurants in town. That was 30 years ago when restaurants weren’t as much a central part of our social life. Today good restaurants are a centerpiece of life in any community - a place to gather, to find friends, to spend time with family - to celebrate life. We want Wright’s, like River Tavern and Otto, to be that place for Essex - a casual but sophisticated place that feels comfortable and familiar from the beginning, and that rewards our guests with great food and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere."

The restaurant will be open seven nights a week for dinner starting at 5pm, and the menu consists of items like a bone in rib-eye for two, steamed mussels with white wine, cream, dill and mustard, and deviled eggs with smoked paprika and chili aioli. There is also a bar menu that will serve until 11pm on weeknights and 12am Friday and Saturday. On that menu you can order meatballs, grilled kielbasa, and various panini. Staying true to their roots the menu will feature ingredients from local CT farms including Soeltl Farm and Deep River Farm.
